SAILING VANUATU: Maskellines Islands

The Maskelline Islands is a small archipelago nested in the southern tip of the major Island of Malekula, in Vanuatu. The area have several villages that are very. colorful have plenty of agriculture in their traditional gardens and good fishing. The canals in between the islands also boast a healthy population of dugons, giant marine animals closely related to the Manati of Florida. They hosted us for a whole day beautifully warm event that included a walk around their island, a traditional feast, dancing and signing. Not to be missed when sailing Vanuatu!
