Little did we know it would end up being the LAST LEG as well! The sailing after leaving Brazil wasn't particularly easy. We faced constant squalls and the oh so fun area known as the doldrums as we approached the equator for the 4th time. That meant light and variable winds but we put all the skills we've learned over the last 6 years to use in order to sail as much as we possibly could. It may have been slow, but it was better than motoring! Sailing through the tough conditions took a toll on Starry Horizons, as we faced another issue with our forestay, necessitating an immediate at-sea fix. Going up the forestay on a rocking boat sucks, but we managed to solve the problem and kept the bows pointed towards the Caribbean! Thanks for watching!
