Sailing the Bay of Biscay
The last part of the Westcoast of France, from Port Medoc to Hendaye, is hard to sail. It goes along a large National Park with no possibility of entries or harbors, it's a 24 hour sail in total. You can stop after 12 hours of sailing at Bassin d'Arcachon, which we did to rest during the night. And then you sail the last part of 12 hours to the first harbor Hendaye. That's also the last harbor before the Spanish border. But we had a great 2 x 12 hours of sailing in this part of the Bay of Biscay: good wind, sunshine en other nice boats to sail together. We also made a video with our drone to show how sailing looks like on this open sea in the Bay of Biscay.
