Sailing Solo to White Cove and a SpaceX Launch Party Aboard sv Blue Aweigh (April 2024)

In this episode, I meet up with Bill svBlueAweigh and Andy svStoked/@sailingsole at White Cove, Catalina Island. We meet up on svBlueAweigh, a Catalina Morgan 440, for Captains' Hour(s) and watch the SpaceX rocket launch from Vandenberg. Winds are light but seas are a bit lumpy following a gale the day before our passage. Fortunately, the anchorage is relatively smooth. We encounter a center console adrift and run into some battery charging issues which caused a moment of stress!
