Sailing Solo to Hen Rock, Catalina Island (September 2023)

In this episode, we solo sail to Hen Rock, Catalina Island. Before heading out, we pick up 58.1 gal $(340) diesel at Jankovich fuel dock. The auto pilot was not operating on the way to the island, so we hand steered the entire passage. We were able to sail the entire distance to Hen Rock and then had a nice visit with the crew of sv Shearwater. Fortunately, the auto pilot worked on the return trip. We saw 3 whales plus a couple of rissos dolphins.
