After a rare heatwave, the weather turns cooler, but at last we have some wind in the sails! We tack slowly past the Isle of Eriska, sail into Loch Linnhe, and pick up a mooring at the famous Pierhouse Hotel in Port Appin before continuing on to the Holly Tree Hotel at Kentallen. Along the way, we test the sails, check the boat’s slimy bottom with an underwater GoPro inspection, and enjoy breathtaking Scottish scenery. From light-wind sailing to motoring on glass-calm seas, this episode captures the real ups and downs of cruising Scotland.
