Sailing Kemah to New Orleans - Part 1

We hope you enjoy the first of what will be a multipart series of our sale from Kemah TX (Near Houston) to New Orleans. The trip took us 8 days in all (traveling the ICW) with both the kids 2 & 10 years old. This video is some of the prep work, setting sail and beating into the wind on Galveston Bay and then the trip east the next morning to Sabine Pass in Texas. Join us on our journey as we continue to rebuild, refit and prepare our Formosa 51 Sailboat for our continued cruising journey. We have always loved the Formosa, bought one (on a bit of a whim) late in 2014, moved aboard this one right away and started to do our refit while living board.
