Sailing In a Gale, Westsail 32, North Atlantic Ocean

This is a short clip of a recent Gale in the North Atlantic halfway between Cape Cod and Bermuda. Wind speed at this point were in the mid 30's and seas were still building. This system lasted 48 hours and during the peak I had to hand steer for about 6 hours as the windvane couldn't keep the boat on a good heading. The thing to remember is this is 6 minutes of 48 hours, day and night winds above 34 knots. The only damage this time was a ripped spray skirt.
