Sailboat Haul Out In RSYC Port Klang | Refit Project [S6Ep3]

In this video we haul out a Hunter 27 Sailboat abandoned for 4 years. Location is RSYC - the Royal Selangor Yacht Club in Port Klang. Time, 2021 during the Pandemic. We anticipate what we find on her hull!!! Scraping, pressure washing, primer and antifouling are what lay ahead in the 3 day haul out we have ahead. Welcome to our Refit Project of an abandoned sailboat here in Malaysia. We are a husband and wife team currently based in the Royal Selangor Yacht Club and going through an extensive sailboat refit with a goal to start sailing by June 2021. We do not own this sailboat - but it is the boat we will learn everything on. We know nothing about sailing or sailboats and are learning about sailboat maintenance, refits and sailing. With a desire to sail around Malaysia, we contemplated buying a sailboat but we are not sure what sort of sailboat will suit our needs and if we jumped straight to buying one without any experience or knowledge, we risk sinking our money into a boat that isn’t for us. This is the way we have chosen to get ourselves on the water for Season 6 on our Channel.
