It is almost the 4th of July! In Sarasota , FL That means the offshore powerboat races are in town. The super fast powerboats race along the coast of Lido Beach. That happens to be just south of Longboat Key where our sailboat is right now. We made a day of it and went to see the boat races and even got to visit the wet pits where the boats are prepped and launch by crane into the water. Sorry the footage isn't better, but believe it or not we actually shot most of it from the beach on a cell phone looking through binoculars. Enjoy the video. This is The Boat Life.
