The indigenous Mentawai people of Pokai on Siberut island aren't shy, and are said to be the oldest tattooed community in the world. They waved and smiled their welcome - not dressed up in traditional costume for the package tours, but wearing 21st century t-shirts and shorts like the rest of us.
