Marvellous Maupiti: Sailing Intrepid Hippo

Sailing Solo to Maupiti. Catching a Marlin, swimming with Manta Rays and nailing epic drone footage of this exquisite island in the Leeward Society Islands; all whilst sailing and living with my 50-year-old Maxi 95, Hippolyta. You are never alone for long whilst solo-ing and I visited Maupiti with my friends, Hilary, Liam, Dale and Katrina on board buddy boats S/Y Womble and S/Y Wild Rye. I am continuing my journey and enjoying making videos from the less travelled and more isolated parts of the Pacific. Currently making my way through French Polynesia and, having visited the tourist hotspots of Tahiti and Bora Bora, I am now moving west! After this my trip takes me to Tonga and Fiji en route to New Zealand. I have only recently started doing these videos and, after my previous one-off from Pitcairn Islands, from this point forward these videos will be chronological and complete as I sail, spearfish and dive some of the jewels of Polynesia and Melanesia. I am working on a two-part video chronicling my 40-day solo crossing of the Pacific, but due to technical issues (iCloud has a lot of my footage!!) it may be a bit of a wait before I can complete them.
