Just eight months after launch and the highly innovative, wheelchair Expedition Dazcat 52 is living the good life in the Caribbean. Dazcat Media catches up with owner Tom via zoom to find out how they're getting on. Having done his sailing theory online during lockdown and otherwise armed with only very limited practical sailing experience, Tom, Artemis and her crew have learnt the ropes together. First a season in Scotland followed by a quick stop back at the yard. Then it was down to Gibraltar to soak up some autumn sun before crossing. EDIT: Correction - Tom tells me he completed both theory and practicals pre-lockdown. Sorry for the mistake Tom. It was good to 'meet up' with Tom and we chat about the crossing, future plans and the challenges posed by the pandemic, teething troubles and support from Multimarine, maintaining communication while cruising, wildlife...Tom's message is clear - if you can untie the lines and go, then do it! Artemis is a custom build by Multimarine, based at the @Multihull Centre in Cornwall, UK.
