Krogen Konversations Episode 1 - Kelleher’s Krogen 48 Whaleback

KrogenKonversations Episode 1 – Meet the Kellehers aboard their Krogen 48 Whaleback! The Krogen Cruisers Rendezvous was held in Solomons, Maryland at the Calvert Marina during October 2026. A wide variety of Kadey-Krogen models docked up to enjoy the festivities spread out over four days. More importantly, the people who own these magnificent trawlers were kind enough to allow the JMYS film crew to shoot some videos. There is a collection of #TrawlAboard (boat tour) videos that were filmed and, Jeff was able to meet with several groups of owners in the cockpit of their Krogens to talk a little bit about themselves, their boat, their travels and experiences, their affection for the Kadey-Krogen brand and the importance of the Krogen Cruisers community. Mark Benno and Jeff Merrill felt very welcome at the event, thank you, and are both members of the Kroger Cruisers association. We were genuinely impressed with the hospitality, warmth and camaraderie that was shared and is a part of the “culture” this group shares. We call these short interviews, #KrogenKonversations, and in this episode, we feature Chris and Mary Kelleher aboard their Krogen 48 Whaleback named Karma. This vessel is not listed for sale by JMYS this video was filmed to introduce our viewers to members of this vibrant group of Krogen owners who take off cruising and annual meet in a special place for a celebration of the trawler lifestyle.
