Isolated in the BVI - Sailing Greatcircle (ep.171)

Maybe naieve but we hadn't expected a center of tourism like the BVI would just send boats away without knowing where to go. All countries around us are closed in the meantime, and people living in isolation on their boat should be the least of the worries each country has to face in these times. Our first visit at the Government Dock was a bit of a shock. Luckily one day later our neighbour found out that the Immigration HQ in Road Town center was giving extensions to people already in the BVI, so after a couple of hours we were feeling all legal and welcome again. If you have to stay in isolation, being on a Lagoon 52S in the BVI is probably one of the best places to be. Were totally self sufficient on our cat, making water in pristine turquoise bays and with plenty of food and fuel on board. If necessary we could stay like this for months without setting a foot on land. Our 40Gb Digicel subscription, valid in 22 Caribbean countries, helps us to stay in touch with the outside world (and reality)… UPDATE : we are not allowed to move anymore during 2 weeks of 24h curfew, don't know the reasoning behind that as long as we stay on the boat but we'll probably better stay here for a while.
