I am about to cross ALONE the Bay of Biscay, after almost collide to a carrier ship

Day 10. Pretty darn good day today. The wind finally came back, which immediately made me feel like a sailor again instead of just floating around out here waiting. The boat is moving properly, we’re making progress, and everything just feels better when the sails are full. One thing that keeps making me realize how lucky I am is the amazing chat following along. It’s honestly ridiculous. Sometimes I’ll go to sleep and if I slowly drift too far off course, someone will message me saying, “hey… maybe turn back a little.” Like… who even has a support system like that? I’m definitely getting spoiled by it, and I think I’ll need some kind of rehab before the GGR because obviously that won’t be possible there. But for now, I’m just incredibly grateful for it. And another big thing… I’m officially entering the Bay of Biscay. Which feels crazy. I’m so close now I can almost smell France. Actually, no. I can’t smell anything. Still just smells like boat.
