Sailing around the world and learning about the fate of new people we meet can be very emotional - especially in so-called "hub ports" where life-changing decisions are made and people from all over the world get together for a certain amount of time. Shelter Bay Marina is such a "hub port" as people cross through a continent with their boat, then leaving all availabilities, now being dependent on their own in the Pacific. Others head back across the moody, often raging Caribbean Sea. Also not as easy which is why some sailors - mostly due to Covid - bury their dream of sailing around the world here. And then there's also people that turn up that you wouldn't expect here - like a traditional, indigenous Kuna woman pouring out her heart. Encounters not as easy to swallow but making you think. 🌟Janna was not wearing a mask 😷 due to the fact that we had just received our negative Covid test results needed prior Bahama departure. The lady was asked beforehand whether this was ok for her with Janna just listening 2 seats away. đŸŒēSpecial thanks go to our friend Merle MeierhÃļfer helping with the Spanish translations from half way around the world! 1000 Dank Merle, du bist ein Schatz! *No guarantees for 100% correctness.
