Galapagos to Tahiti, steering emergency, 3000 miles Vlog 70

We sailed across the Pacific Ocean! Despite losing our steering and autopilot two days in (massive challenge) we still enjoyed beautiful sunsets, whale watching, fishing, and, of course, lots of wild sailing. It takes some adjusting living inside a large piece of plastic for 18 days. The pace of life is slow at sea. Normal daily activities like cooking, fishing, washing and baking kept us from going nuts and we made it to the beautiful Marquesas islands in French Polynesia sanity intact and we are all still friends. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures!
