Exciting post as we put the Seahopper back together and ready for her shakedown voyage! The oar sleeves are finished and attached to the oars. The final coats of varnish go on the oars and paddles and we get the final coat of top coat onto the boat. I also make some anti-scratch pads that I stick onto the boat where i've already found some scratching going on. The front anchor cleat is re-attached and the skeg wheel is fixed and put back and I make a fat wheel trolley attachment so I can manouvre the boat over stony or sandy ground as the skeg wheel is just too small and thin to work on anything other than tarmac. Last job was to re-attach the Oarlocks and to do a rough sizing of where the oarsleeves should go. We also find her name out and as if by Magic its Piglett II. So the tradtion of calling my boats after Pigs continues for some unexplained reason!! 00:00 Oar sleeves 3D printed 00:48 Final varnishing and paint 01:33 Plastic scratch protectors for the underside of the Seahopper 03:52 I have finished painting!! 05:00 Re-fitting the front cleat 06:25 Re-fitting the skeg wheel and making a trolley 08:38 Re-fitting the Oarlocks
