Expedition to the HIGHEST WATERFALL in the South Pacific | Ep 85 | Sailing Merewether

This week we sail to a different anchorage in Nuku Hiva, Daniel’s bay, and wow we can’t believe our eyes. The mountains that surrounds the bay looks like something of a post card from Hawaii. The highest waterfall in French Polynesia is also located here, we decide to hike it with one of our new yacht friends Devon. The locals show us the beginning of the trail and tells us a home made meal will be waiting on us when we come back. The trail is hard to find and we face many rivers and creeks on the way. But oh my, the view is breath taking. We continue to the bottom of the waterfall, but it is so high we can’t see the start of it. Sulking wet from the mist of the waterfall we try to take it all in. Wow! Back in the village we are presented with a beautiful locally sourced lunch. Fresh caught fish, fruit salad, cassava and an incredible smoothie. Needing to stock up on some fruit we got given two full bags of locally grown fruits. Honestly the best pomelo I’ve ever had! Join our crew! We are looking for new crew to join in the future journey.
