Episode 40 - Shake Downs and the Voyage Home

Toni and I with Captain Mike performed some shake down sailing to test the running rigging and sails onboard Moments in Time. We found nothing major other than some tangled reefing lines. The first shake down sail started in increasing winds that forced us to double reef. We dropped the sails and headed back when the sustained winds started to exceed 30+ knots. The second shake down sail started with blustery winds that dropped to light breeze before ending the day with blustery winds again. We sailed into Annapolis and made the run into Ego Alley. We then sailed south to head back to Liberty Marina with our inflated egos. A great day of sailing. And finally, the day after the Annapolis Spring Sailboat show, we set out onboard Moments in Time to take her to her home berth in Solomons, Maryland. Unfortunately, the winds were very light and coming from the south, forcing us to motor the 6.5 hours. Moments in Time is finally home at last. Subscribe and share the adventure!
