Episode #155 AGROUND in a Seaway!

in Part One of a two-part series, we experience two days of challenges on the water. Challenge #1 was how to get out of a slip which was ill-situated adjacent to very shallow water, and challenge #2 was dealing with thunderstorms on the water. Challenge #3 which is briefly introduced in this video, and more detailed in the next was facing a serious grounded in open water. The charts said 17 feet of water, the actual depth was 4 feet...the bottom came up so fast that the depth sounder alarm, set to go off at 7 feet, didn't even have a chance to trigger until it was too late...hard aground with waves hotting us on the beam...
