Ep 182 | Mother Nature is Against Us! Trying Hard to Sail Home. No Engine! Sailing Nutshell

We leave the Great Sandy Strait and begin the sail north to Airlie Beach. We have no engine, and the only forward propulsion that we have is with little Evi, Peanut’s outboard. We decide to head out to sea and go north, but there are constant northerlies and we spend much of the time going backwards. It’s not easy for us to simply pull in and wait for better weather, because we don’t have an engine, so we have to choose our anchorages very carefully to make sure that we can both get in, and get out again, safety. After days of northerlies, we pull in to Port Clinton for the night and wait for better weather. 'Windy' predicts a southerly front and we decide to utilise it to get home.
