A huge weather system sweeps past Grenada, later developing into the devastating Hurricane Melissa. Thankfully, Excelsior and her crew are safe. But life aboard our sailing boat never stays quiet for long! When the sun finally comes out, the local kids come out to play, bringing some much-needed smiles after the unsettled weather. Then it’s time to roll up our sleeves and tackle a job every boat owner knows is coming sooner or later… our dreaded haul out! This is our fourth haul out, and once again, we’re doing all the work ourselves. Paying professionals simply isn’t in our cruising budget, so it’s time for plenty of hard work, boat maintenance, and getting stuck in. We’ve chosen Tyrell Bay, Carriacou for this haul out.
