Light winds made for constant sail changes on our Atlantic crossing — until squalls rolled in and it was all hands on deck. Along the way, we hauled in a barracouta on the handline (which Chui was quick to inspect, licking his lips) and spotted countless floating shortfin squid — a sobering sign of the bycatch left behind by enormous Chinese fishing fleets.
