Double Breasted Cays | Cruising Life in the ABACOS [Ep 167]

The real Bahamas cruising started here in the Northern Abacos. Boat life can be a rollercoaster of logistics, weather planning and change of plans but it can be pure bliss like what we experienced this week. We left Great Sale Cay behind and set sail for Barracouta rock in the middle of the Little Bahama Bank. It was kind of weird and exciting at the same time to drop the hook with no land in sight other than this tiny limestone rock. We were not disappointed as we jumped in and Cory speared us a delicious lunch and supper. Another short hop and we made it to Double-Breasted Cays. Since in was already late in the day we decided to go for a short dinghy adventure in between the small islands. I felt like I was in paradise with this spectacular landscape and riding the current. Our time at Double-Breasted was wonderful and the lack of wind combined with glass water made for perfect snorkel and spearfishing. Filmed March 2021.
