Does the New Captain Know How to Sail? (Sailing Brick House #73)

We go for a shakedown sail on the new captain's sailboat, SV Intrepid. Does he know how to sail? He thinks its a pleasure sailing trip - but really... its an interview - and there are at least 10 interview questions for the new captain of this sailboat! The other reason for this sail, was to sail back to Hout Bay, South Africa where Patrick Childress, Rebeccas late husband, spent his last days before covid hit him hard. Good of the new captain to sail there knowing this. It took two attempts at sailing to get there. Our second attempt was a success and we had a great sail! We spent a few nights at anchor and one in the marina, to see how we get along on a small sail boat. The two rambunctious sails where Rebecca gets a little seasick, are just the beginning of the interview! This is the beginning of a new adventure.
