In Episode 53 of the Sailing Goat Series, we finally leave Brindisi! After months of preparation, upgrades, and setbacks, we’re officially on our way to cross the Strait of Otranto again—this time west to east. But before setting off, we haul out the boat one last time for a fresh coat of antifouling and a deep clean of our depth and speed sensors. With the final system tests complete and emotional goodbyes to the friends we made in Brindisi, we set sail once again, ready for the new adventures that lie ahead. ⚓ Final Haul-Out – Antifouling & Sensor Cleaning: Before heading out, we lift the boat for the last time, applying fresh antifouling paint and cleaning our depth and speed sensors to ensure smooth sailing. A necessary step before taking on new waters! 👋 Goodbye Brindisi & Amazing Friends: Brindisi has been a long stop for us, filled with boat work, challenges, and unforgettable friendships. Saying goodbye is bittersweet, but we’re excited for what’s next. 🌊 System Testing & Last Checks: We run final system tests to make sure everything is working perfectly.
