Building a Wooden Sailboat #19: Finishing the Hull

In part nineteen of this series I complete the hull of my wooden Snipe class sailboat project. I start off by sanding the decks and blending in the rub rails. Then I apply three coats of wood sealer. After the sealer is cured I sand the decks and apply six coats of marine varnish. I let the varnish cure and then sand and apply the final coat of varnish. Next I install the splash guards, forestay mounting point, and chain plate covers. Finally I sand and touch up the paint around the cockpit of the boat.
