This week didn’t exactly go the way we planned. 😅 What started as a normal few days of ticking off boat jobs in Phuket turned into a hospital visit after Archie had a heavy landing while wing foiling. The X-ray confirmed a couple of broken bones… and if that wasn’t enough, the boat decided to throw us a handful of surprises too. From clutch cone issues to watermaker failures, this was one of those curveball weeks where everything popped up at once. We also talk openly about how we handle medical care abroad without medical insurance — why we self-insure, what care looks like in Thailand, and how we navigate the unexpected while living full-time on our boat with four kids.
