Ulko-Tammio is a Finnish island in Gulf of Finland very close to Russian border. It is protected as a part of a Eastern Gulf of Finland National Park but has also an interesting history. Ulko Tammio has been an important military and navy station for many years. You can still see an old cannon on the hill and a tunnel ( shelter against the bombers) built in a huge rock. If you are somewhere nearby you should visit Ulko Tammio :-)
