AMBON - every sailor's dream stop over for provisioning in Indonesia

After a long passage, we’ve finally made it to Ambon… but there’s no time to relax! With cupboards running low and the boat needing supplies, we dive headfirst into four hectic days of errands in a foreign country. Grocery shopping becomes an adventure of its own, fuel runs mean hauling endless jerry cans, and spare parts are high on the mission list. Luckily, we’ve found the perfect base — tied up to an incredible fishing pontoon/restaurant that’s become a safe haven for yachties in an area where anchoring can be seriously tricky. In between the chaos, we ditch the kids for a day and jump on a scooter mission through the backstreets of Ambon. We get completely lost, weaving through people’s houses, riding through kitchens and laundries, before stumbling across a hidden lush rainforest waterfall right in the middle of the city! It’s been a wild, action-packed few days, but the boat is stocked, fuel tanks are full, and we’re finally ready to continue the adventure towards Wangi Wangi, the stunning atolls of Wakatobi, and the remote shipbuilding island of Taka Bonerate. 🌴⛵ Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and come along for the journey!
