Can you imagine a boat shaped like a zipper? ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒŠ Discover the incredible story of the "Zip-Fastener Ship", a masterpiece created by Japanese artist Yasuhiro Suzuki. What started in 2004 as a simple optical illusion from an airplane window became a real naval engineering challenge capable of carrying passengers and sailing the waters of Japan. In this video, we explore: โœˆ๏ธ How the idea to "hack the viewer's perception" was born. ๐Ÿšค The first tests with the radio-controlled prototype. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ The hydrodynamic challenges to achieve the perfect foam lines. ๐ŸŒŠ Its full-scale debut at the Setouchi International Art Festival (2010). ๐Ÿ—ผ Its iconic navigation down the Sumida River in Tokyo (2020), symbolically "sewing" the city together with the sponsorship of YKK. While it may seem like a trivial concept, there are countless hours of calculation and design behind this peculiar hull. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Let me know what you think in the comments!
