A Race Against TIME (Calico Skies Sailing, Ep. 43)

In this episode, we face late season temperatures after leaving Annapolis two months later than we planned. We begin our journey down the ICW mid December, only to find ourselves facing a haul out early January. Upon leaving, we deal with frigid temperatures but two weeks later, after arriving into Hampstead North Carolina, conditions improve considerably. We then get to work on a crazy seven day haul out where we focus on replacing our running gear - New propellor, prop shaft, cutlass bearing - the works. In the past two years of cruising we've gotten used to not being able to depend on weather forecasts, but this time, we've created the problem by being so off schedule.
