And what a seven months they were! In all, we sailed 2,300nm in Australia and this leg had some of the best sailing yet. There was lots of wind from deep behind us, which allowed us to use only headsails and still sail fast. We were sailing through the narrow channels in the Great Barrier Reef so it was great not to have to jibe a million times messing with the mainsail. On our way north, we made a quick stop at Lizard Island. We enjoyed catching up with friends, completed our watermaker recommissioning and hiked to the top of the island for the same view Captain Cook had way back in 1770! And then to wrap up our time in Australia, we did one last mini-adventure on Thursday Island before clearing out of the country. Indonesia... here we come! Thanks for watching!
