89: Is the INSANELY LONG JOURNEY to SCUBA MECCA MABUL and SILPIDAN worth it?

Taking a journey to scuba dive at Scuba Junkie in Mabul, Malaysia is not for the faint at heart! The journey is long and expensive with necessary built-in overnights and flights. Planning is essential. With extra time, due to Covid-19, we decided to fly to Borneo on a one way flight! This would be the trip that crossed off another couple of items on our bucket list: Scuba Diving around Sipidan Island and visiting orangatans and probiscus monkeys in their natural habitat. Sadly, we learned alot about how their habitat is being destroyed by the palm oil industry. After a full day of travel and a night in Semporna, we finally arrived in Mabul! Our first few dives in Mabul BLEW US AWAY!! The muck diving is outstanding. We were also lucky that we arrived on the day that Scuba Junkie was releasing baby green turtles into the wild!
