75 Hard Day 46/47 No running orders!

Day 46-47 of the 75 Hard Challenge and it's another combined update video. Yesterday was a busy one as I had a consultation with an orthopaedic surgeon regarding my ongoing knee problems. What amazed me was the speed of the healthcare system here in Greece. Within 30 minutes of my appointment, I had already been sent for both an X-ray and an MRI scan. If this had happened back in the UK, I'd probably still be waiting for the initial appointment! I've already received copies of the X-rays and next Wednesday I'll be returning to collect the MRI report before heading back to the surgeon to discuss the results and the best course of action moving forward. The surgeon's initial thoughts are that I may have ruptured my meniscus, which would certainly explain some of the issues I've been experiencing over the past few months. The frustrating part is that I was starting to feel like my running was getting easier and the knee was improving. However, I've been given strict instructions not to run until the MRI results are reviewed, so for now it's back to lower-impact exercise and following professional advice. Aside from the knee situation, everything else is going well with the challenge. The workouts are getting done, the water intake is on target, the reading is completed, progress photos are taken, and the diet remains clean. Another couple of days closer to the finish line.
