66 - Exploring Cape Verde Part 2

In this episode we depart Sao Nicolao and sail to the island of Sao Vincente, specifically the port city of Mindelo. While here we take a ferry to explore Santo Antao, and explore this "Island of Mountains" with it's unbelievable cobblestone roads up into the mountains, and precarious stepped slopes for agriculture. This island is the bread and fruit basket of the Cape Verde islands. We prep for the Atlantic crossing, do some engine and mast-head maintenance, provisioning, pickle the water maker, stow away the dinghy, and get the bottom of the boat scrubbed before departure. We wave good bye to our friends on Rapau and Spela, and finally we're at the airport to pick up Steve and Kevin B...our Atlantic crossing crew! Thanks for following!
