Perfect sailing conditions with a light to medium sea breeze and sunshine from dawn till dusk. Spain shines early in both the men’s and women’s skiffs, while Great Britain takes the lead in the Nacra 17 fleet. ⚓️ 49er Men – Olympic Champs Back on Top Fresh from SailGP in Cádiz, Diego Botin & Florian Trittel (ESP) storm into the Worlds with scores of 2,1,7 to take the top spot on day one. Reigning World Champions Erwan Fischer & Clement Pequin (FRA) match them on points, while seasoned veterans and rising stars pack the top 10. Special mention to Marius Westerlind & Olle Aronsson (SWE) for an impressive 3rd place against some of the biggest names in the sport! 💪 49erFX – When the Crew Becomes the Helm Former crew Paola Barcelo (ESP) takes the helm and leads the fleet with Maria Cantero, ahead of Lovadina/Berthomieu (FRA) and the Lewin-LaFrance sisters (CAN).
