2015 470 World Championships - Wrap Up

Defending World Champions and World #1 Mat Belcher & Will Ryan have claimed their third successive World Championship title at the 2015 470 World Championships in Haifa. It is the 6th 470 World title for Olympic gold medallist Mat Belcher & the 18th for Australian Sailing Head Coach Victor Kovalenko. In the 470 Women’s Carrie Smith & Jaime Ryan finished the regatta in overall ninth and secured Australia a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games (subject to ISAF ratification). The top ten position at a World Championship also qualified the young duo for the Australian Sailing Team.
