In 2019 we bought our first boat together: a Catalina 30 we named "Salty Bob". In 2022 we purchased and sailed our new-to-us J-133, Defiant, from San Francisco to Dana Point. We hit a top speed of 14.5 knots, and completed the approximately 400NM trip in about 2.5 days. This is a short video about that adventure south.
