IOS Round the Island Race is a long established, long distance event designed to test sailing skills and endurance over a 40-mile course. Sailed clockwise around the island of Sheppey, starting and finishing at IOS Sailing Club. The race includes tidal sea, river & estuary sailing. The event is the longest dinghy and board race in Europe —The race is open to all classes of dinghy, catamaran and sailboard and there is a shake down race on the Saturday.

It's not possible to ignore the fact this island is much about bikini's beers and loud music. Pretty monoton latin music in my ears and only some reggae now and then. I'm not saying it's wrong just pointing out how it is. Sailing back to the east side of San Andres together with Sophisticated Lady to celebrate Rick's birthday with crew and friends. Lots of amazing food and beautiful scenery wrapped into a feel good episode made as realistic as possible for you to enjoy. The biggest challenge have been the loud music due to copyright restrictions but have tried to replace it with authentic licensed music as close as possible to give you the best experience of the reality. Not often using the real sound is such a challenge. This Island is loud but note even close to the 24/7 nightmare of Jamaica. I do love music and also loud music. However I also enjoy variation but here the beat is exactly the same no matter what its called or which artist singing. Still I do love this beautiful island with the friendliest people, and not complaining only sharing my honest experience. San Andres is defiantly a beautiful place to be, even though it's not a place I would stay if bad weather is approaching as there is really no good places to hide. Una bella giornata di vela in compagnia di un vecchio amico, due bordi sul campo di regata della Vesuvio Race ed un bel pomeriggio in rada solitaria a Vico Equense sul suo PERVERSION 37 teknocantieri, barca di Costruzione solida e interni confortevoli adatti alla crocera d’altura, dotata di albero passante sartie volanti e stralletto. Con una prua fine e slanciata, ma forme piene caratterizzate da uno specchio di poppa a “V” stretta, il Perversion è un elegante cabinato da crociera che ha ripreso diverse soluzioni da regata (Ior) per ottenere uno scafo veloce. Progettato da Gigi Squarci nel 1980 per la Teknocantieri di Stella (Sv) è molto solido (ha anche due paratie anticollisione), stabile e adatto alla navigazione d’altura. Dotato di albero passante, ha sartie volanti e stralletto; generosa la superficie velica e completa l’attrezzatura di coperta, con 8 winch.
