After Golden Globe Race 2018; 2022, Ocean Globe Race 2022, now McIntyre Adventures Presents anther amazing around the world yacht race - The Mini Globe Race 2025. Since the launch of the Class Globe 5.80, over 230 people in more than 27 countries have purchased plans to build their own 19-foot plywood 'mini' yacht. The '5.80' refers to its length in metres, which is compact enough to be shipped in a 20-foot container to and from international events. Conceived by Australian adventurer Don McIntyre and designed by Polish sailor and designer Janusz Maderski, this new class of 'mini' yacht opens up exciting new possibilities for adventurous and affordable ocean racing. In 2025, a group of brave adventurers will race their 5.80 yachts solo around the world. The Mini Globe Race will start on 23 February 2025 and will be divided into four legs: • Leg One: Start of the race from Antigua to Panama; • Leg Two: Panama to Fiji via Tahiti and Tonga; • Leg Three: Fiji to Cape Town via Darwin, Cocos Islands, Mauritius and Durban; • Leg Four: Cape Town to Antigua via St Helena and Recife, Brazil. The race covers 28,000 miles and is limited to 20 entrants from around the world. It should take around a year to complete. There are no restrictions on satellite media access or the transmission of pictures and updates to the media. Entrants can post pictures from on board and manage their own social media from their boats. Det har ikke været let at finde den rigtige targabøjle; vi vil have én der er let i designet, holdbar og som kan holde de solpaneler vi har brug for + en radar. Valget faldt på en bøjle fra Baltic Solar Arches og det er vi meget glade for. Mikkel Kloster, som er indehaver af Baltic Solar Arches, gav os en god pris, mod at vi viser bøjlen frem.
