Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Seit vielen Jahren war eine Weltumsegelung mein (Hannes) großer Traum, den ich berufsbedingt zum Renteneintrittsalter verwirklichen wollte. Manchmal kommt das Leben aber anders als man plant. Im Frühjahr dieses Jahrs erhielt ich die Diagnose Morbus Parkinson. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. The epoxy priming process begins. First mist coat diluted with 20 percent thinner as prescribed by Hempel for the first mist coat. Makes a visual difference and also highlights the areas that require my attention.
