We regularly meet cruising sailors who have never serviced their winches. This can cause a serious accident if the winch is under strain and the winch handle is in place. If the pawls stick the winch can spin backwards and a break an arm or worse. Its is vitally important to service winches regularly... In this video we show the Lewmar winch.
