http://www.teambrunel.com/ Why do we sail around the world? Sailing a Volvo Ocean Race is all but a walk in the park. But just as long as love what you do, it makes it a lot easier face all the tough

Yes, this is why you if you are buying a drone, you should ONLY buy a waterproof Drone like the new Mariner2 (Splash Drone) that floats! One of my best Mariner / Splash Drones went down last week, signal got blocked and it flew off on its own and as the video shows, crashed into the sea from 300ft at almost 50mph based on the last recorded descent rate that I recorded. Still don't know exactly what interfered with it, but definitely the message here is that any other drone would have been lost to the depths of Davey Jones Locker alongside many other vessels lost at sea... but my Mariner held in there and stayed afloat for over an hour while I searched endlessly trying to figure out which direction it flew off to! I receive emails from many of you that have lost drones in the water, whether ocean, lakes, swimming pools, rain squalls, etc... and all I can tell you is that if you want to avoid any losses in the future, then a waterproof drone is your ONLY answer! And lets not forget that the new Mariner2 (Splash Drone) is not only waterproof, it comes with cargo drop feature, search and rescue capabilities for Coast Guard or otherwise, can carry an LED flare to 300ft for 15 minutes, drop a self-inflating life preserver to a drowning swimmer in the water, films in 4K UltraHD resolution with a GoPro4, and on and on and on... this drone is worth a look, and you can find it in the store section of our website at: http://www.AmbientRealLife.com As always, thanks for watching, and look forward to hearing your comments! http://tulasendlesssummer.com for more Endless Summer, travel, and adventure! I recently had this same question and I know a lot of people with the same question with less than definitive answers floating out there. "Can I use my iPad for navigation offshore?" The short simple answer is yes! Some people as long as your iPad has 3g/4g capability and you download and save your maps while you are still connected. To see more about using your iPad for navigation check out my other video http://youtu.be/IsL1QX77OOU Ipad mini case - http://bit.ly/2bTxGKG Ipad mini cradle - http://bit.ly/2bE7Qdg Ram mount and support arm - http://bit.ly/2bKBcds
UPDATED Video: https://youtu.be/cba7OnTQbs0 http://tulasendlesssummer.com for more endless summer fun, adventure, and travel. I was relatively recently looking for a gps for navigation and was between a Garmin and iPad. I have found for the same price or a tiny bit cheaper I could get an iPad WITH Navionics and I would have all the functionality of the iPad and not be limited to just the sole purpose of a GPS. However, there are a few things to take into consideration if you are looking at using your iPad as your navigation device ESPECIALLY as your sole navigation device. If you have a question about whether you can use your iPad out of range of cellphone towers check out this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxUCgC8AHu0 Ipad mini case - http://bit.ly/2bTxGKG Ipad mini cradle - http://bit.ly/2bE7Qdg Ram mount and support arm - http://bit.ly/2bKBcds
Sailing through the Lau Group here in Fiji has been a delightful experience. Until a few years ago, cruisers could not visit here without special permission. The place is still incredibly remote, the people still very much authentic although that is changing with tourism. This video captures an amazing spot on the island of Vanua Balavu in the 'Bay Of Islands' and an anchorage with majestic stone outcrops, colours that dazzle the mind and some awesome passages and pools carved into the surrounding mountains ... makes for some awesome exploring by dinghy or kayak.
The 7th leg of the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15, from Newport, US to Lisbon, Portugal, has come to a close. The teams covered the 3000 nautical mile journey in 9.5 days, and the finish was one of the most exciting in the race so far!
Emotional footage from the launch of Team Vestas Wind's rebuilt and shiny blue boat in Lisbon! A worthy ending to their 5 month struggle to rejoin the race, and the beginning of the last part of their adventure.

In this brief video I describe how to persuade someone. These basic principles can be applied in various situations of your choosing. If these principles worked for me then they can work for anyone. Dirt roads and cypress trees lead to the Midwest’s most untouched bass fishing waters. The eerie silence is broken by the tail splash of a trophy bass and your heart beating out of your chest as you reach down to land it. Weaving your way through the maze of cypress in openings less than four feet wide is a huge advantage fishing from a kayak. In some places, bass have never seen a lure in their entire life.
