The more we started researching, the less outboard engines sounded appealing to us ... and when a set came up for sale after being removed from a new catamaran, we jumped on the chance to buy them. They may not be what we end up with, but at least we have them now, and at a reasonable price (compared to buying new diesel engines). Before heading out to Maine to pick them up though, we really get to work on the Viking, and Matt cuts out the core up in the v-berth. Finding this incredibly designed sailboat for sale in the backwoods of Maine took some trekking but was well worth the trip. This is a 1979 Pacific Seacraft Orion Sailboat for sale is a "40 foot boat packed into the body of a 27-footer". We found it on the top of a mountain on a Bison ranch. Refreshingly, Alkira has been set up to cover all bases – her sail wardrobe will satisfy club racing appetites for those wanting a great turn of speed while her recent cruising updates and maintenance items make an adventure north very tempting.
