First up are the Azimut Grande 44M, Baglietto DOM 133 and Benetti Oasis 42M. They are remarkably close on paper, but once you look at how each builder has used the available space, three very different yachts begin to emerge. The Azimut is the longest at 43.6 metres, the Baglietto the shortest at 40.9 metres, and the Benetti sits between them at 42.5 metres. Yet there is very little difference in beam and only around 20 GT separates all three. David works through each yacht deck by deck, starting with three very different approaches to the stern. The Azimut combines a beach club, Sea View Terrace and see-through pool. Baglietto creates a three-level beach club with an infinity pool whose floor can be raised, while Benetti's famous Oasis Deck creates around 100 square metres of space extending from the bathing platform towards the main saloon. Above deck, the differences continue. Azimut moves the wheelhouse up a level, freeing almost the entire upper deck for owners and guests. Baglietto takes a more traditional approach with a proper skylounge and generous exterior spaces, while Benetti combines its skylounge with the wheelhouse, captain's cabin and forward seating area. David also compares construction, engines, performance, fuel capacity and range, including why quoted range figures only really make sense when you know the speed at which they were calculated. Finally, there is price: approximately €26.2 million for the Azimut, €27 million for the Baglietto and €28 million for the Benetti, although specification and customisation can change those figures considerably. With so little separating them on price and dimensions, which one would you choose? Now, just before her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, we can finally show you the completed HEED. But this is not simply another yacht walkthrough. David Seal looks at the thinking behind HEED's exterior design, from her subtle profile and metallic paintwork to the challenge of keeping her below 500 GT while creating a forward-facing owner's stateroom on the upper deck. Two pools, hidden anchor gear, opening terraces and fold-down platforms are all part of a design where aesthetics had to work hand in hand with engineering. Inside, Achille Salvagni's interior brings together sweeping curves, natural materials and full-height windows. The owner's stateroom has direct access to the foredeck, where there is a private pool and sunbathing area, while four further guest staterooms are located below. An elevator connects the decks and completes a remarkable layout designed around owners, guests and crew. But the yacht herself is only part of this story. David spends time with HEED's crew to understand what goes into operating a yacht at this level. From independently operated rudders and a ballast system to batteries capable of powering the hotel load for six hours without the generators running, there is a great deal happening behind the scenes that an owner may never see. And that leads to what David considers one of the most important aspects of HEED: the structure behind her. Having visited several SeaNet yachts over the years, David has repeatedly noticed what he describes as a "culture of care" among their crews. There are reinforcements above the decks in the bow and above the Deckpod I made some small modifications to the roof of the hulls and it looks more like the Tiki 36, as seen in the screenshots. The deckpod was modified and installed a huge stern bench that seats up to 5 people comfortably. It is possible to sleep two people below as well. The roof of the deckpod is very well constructed and laminated, and can be easily climbed to make adjustments and maintenance. There is a canvas and plastic closure on the deckpod which allows for dry navigation. Extra information I sailed from Florianopolis to Rio de Janeiro and in the middle was cought by a Cyclone Bomb, a storm with winds up to 60 knots. The boat resists pretty good. The boat was built with the best materials and the best shipbuilding techniques available. The plywood was Canadian Pine and half a ton of high quality Epoxy Resin. The hulls was painted with an original Coppercoat. There are very well constructed and glassed water tanks under the floors of the two hulls, painted with special paint for drinking water. There is a refrigerator of approximately 120l built in the structure of the boat, for better use of space. There are 3 tanks above the sinks in the kitchen, the toilet and the suite, very well glassed and painted with paint for drinking water as well. The Dedpod has a huge space to accommodate up to 8 people comfortably, see photos. The wood used in the decks is Cedar Rose for export. A holding tank was built for internacional cruising. The roof of the Deckpod is a light but very resistant structure due to its curved shape. It receives two 400W solar pannels. The Dinghy is a wooden classic boat “Candy 8”. Two 15hp 2T HIDEA engines. The Southampton Boat Show 2026 - seen the day before it opens, with a quick tour of the Parker, Sea Ray, Fairline and Williams stands and a look at some of the boats on display. Starting with Parker, Dan runs through the three boats on the stand, including the £338,000 model at the top of the range, before the tour moves across to Sea Ray and its four-boat line-up. There’s also a handy look at exactly where each stand is, so anyone heading to the show should have a decent idea where to find them. Next up is Fairline, with the Squadron 58 alongside the F-Line 33 and Targa models, plus the new Targa 58 GTO due to arrive on Sunday night. 2 week Princess F55 Summer Holiday: Mallorca, Ibiza & Formentera 🛥️☀️😎 This trip follows two weeks cruising Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera aboard a Princess F55, covering roughly 200 nautical miles around the Balearic Islands. The holiday starts in Mallorca before the boat makes the crossing to Ibiza, with stops around Santa Eulària, Ibiza Town and Formentera. From there, the route heads back towards Mallorca, calling into Andratx and working around the coast before eventually returning to Cala d’Or. One of the highlights is rafting up with the other boats to watch the eclipse 🌘, which turns into a pretty special evening. There’s also a run through Billionaire’s Bay, a look at some of the yachts anchored there and the inevitable opportunity for the boys to take a high jump in to the sea.🌊 There’s plenty of time underway too, with a look at the Princess F55’s real-world fuel consumption at different cruising speeds, the sort of range it offers and what it’s actually like to use as a family boat for two weeks.
