2006 Harmony 38 upgraded for blue water in 2022. EU VAT paid The Harmony 38 is designed for cruising comfort and convenience and is easily sailed by a couple. The Dolphin nose, large cockpit, tandem keel and detachable toe rail are evidence of the innovative design features that make this a practical, elegant design. Wheel steering, windlass, self-tail winches on deck with two double cabins, linear galley with huge chest fridge and bright, spacious saloon make for practical and efficient cruising comfort. The Dufour engineers designed this boat. It is straightforward to sail, even solo. The mast and all the rigging system was replaced in 2016. Hier im Mooringfeld liegen fast ausschließlich Dauerlieger, die wahrscheinlich in der Stadt arbeiten und auf ihren Schiffen wohnen. Wir mit unseren 3 Übernachtungen sind da eher ein Fremdkörper. Das Stadtbild von Key West ist geprägt durch unendlich viele hervorragend gepflegte historische Gebäude aus der Kolonialzeit. Man sieht, dass in Key West viele wohlhabende Intellektuelle wohnen. Key West hat einen verhältnismäßig großen Anteil an Schwulen und Lesben und ist für diese Gruppen auch ein beliebtes Reiseziel. Außerdem ist Key West das Zuhause für viele exzentrische Bewohner und zieht auch viele entsprechende Besucher an. Groß ist das Angebot an charismatischen Restaurants und Kneipen wie das „Green Parrot“, die „Whistle Bar“ oder die „Schooner Warf Bar“ entlang der Duval Street oder im Historischen Hafen. MAGIC represents the one of the nicest, customized Tri­-Deck's in the 130' range on the market. Charlie and Pat Ball were the principle owners and builders of Roseate. Over the years the brothers have built shoal draft boats. In searching for an ideal shoal draft trawler they discovered the New York City naval architect, Dave Gerr. His 42 foot Summer Kyle design was of great interest to Charlie and Pat. Covey Island Boat Works in Nova Scotia had built two of these 42 footers. A Gerr designed 42 was located on the Florida east coast. Charlie and Pat sea trialed that yacht. They were so impressed that they purchased a set of plans from Gerr. With Gerr's permission, Jim Ryan a local naval architect, digitized the drawings and stretched the midsection of the design out to achieve a 44 foot overall length The additional 2' allowed for a more spacious saloon. The brothers leased space at Precision Boat Works, a local boat builder's factory in Palmetto, Florida and finalized construction plans in 2000. Actual construction began in 2001. In 2003 Ray Marshall, a freelance boatbuilder from Nova Scotia joined Roseate's boat building team. A crew from the boat building facility had been working along side Charlie and Pat in the construction. Ray's specialty was ship's carpentry and ship's systems. His vast experience in boatbuilding made him the ideal choice to head up the installation of the boat's mechanical, electrical and plumbing-MEP systems as well as the woodwork.
