Auf Lee ziehen sich endlose Strände hin, an denen immer wieder Dingys von den davor ankernden Yachten anlanden. Das Inselradio der Sailors Community meldet, dass aktuell vor Stocking Island visasvi von Georgetown 347 Yachten ankern - und täglich werden es mehr. In Kürze findet hier eine Fun-Regatta statt, dann werden 500 Yachten erwartet. Zeit für uns weiterzuziehen, in der Hoffnung, dass die Exumas bis Nassau vergleichsweise leer sind. Wir brechen auf in die lange Perlenkette der Exuma Islands. Die Tagesetappen sind angenehm kurz. Hinter White Cay gehen wir mit 80 cm Wasser unter dem Kiel vor Anker. Wir segeln gemeinsam um die Welt. Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März 2021 von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich.
